Varkala beach - Kerala


Varkala is secluded beach 54 km from Thiruvananthapuram and 37 km from Kollam. It is pleasantly warm in winter in the month of October. It is famous for mineral springs and a fantastic massage. The mineral springs here are said to have curative properties. The 2000 years old Janardana Swamy Temple and the Nature Center are the two main attractions of Varkala Beach. A dip in the holy waters of Varkala beach is believed to pure the body and soul of all the sins hence the its shore is known to be "Papanashini" (destroyer of sin).

Marari beach - Kerala


Marari beach is just in an hour from Cochin fringed with palm. It is a virgin territory offering best traditional Keralite hospitality.

Kovalam beach - Kerala


Kovalam beach is Located 16 km south of Thiruvananthapuram city. This beach has lovely coconut palms. Ayurvedic parlors, yoga and meditation centers have spread all over the place. Kovalam Beach consists of three small crescent beaches:- Lighthouse Beach, Hawah beach in the middle and Samudra beach.

Kappil beach - Kerala


Kappil beach is remote and secluded with panoramic view of Arabian Sea from nearby Kodi Cliff and it is turning to be a major tourist attraction. It is 12 kms away from Kasaragod and 50 kms from Manglore, Karnataka.

Kappad beach - Kerala


Kappad beach locally known as Kappakadavu is 16 kms from Calicut. The monument on the beach commemorates the historic event of landing of Vasco da Gama on 20th May, 1498 with 170 men in ships. The temple on the rock is said to be 800 years old.

Fort Kochi beach - Kerala


This beach at Fort Kochi is lovely which is hidden on the less busy side of the island and only a walk through the lanes of the city is the best way to discover. It is12 kms away from Ernakulam city.

Dharmadam Island beach- Kerala


Dharmadam beach is on the small 5 acre island covered with coconut palms and dense bushes. It is located 17 kms from Kannur Town. However, the island is privately owned and prior permission is required to visit it.

Cherai beach - Kerala


Cherai beach is 45 kms from ernakulam city. This lovely beach is on the border of Vypeen island with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby . It is ideal for swimming. Dolphins are occasionally seen here.

Beypore beach - Kerala


Bypore beach is10 km south of Kozhikode, located at the mouth of chliyar river. Ancient beypore was much sought after by the merchants from Western Asia for the ship building industry. The boat building yard here is famous for the construction of the uru(the traditional arabian trading vessel). The tradition of shipbuilding here is nearly 1,500 years old and particularly the craftsmanship of the workers here is exceptional.



Bekal beach - Kerala


The shallow beach at Bekal is the best place. The beach area has been developed as a great tourist spot and is the catch at Kasargod. Apart from the beach, the single most attraction is the Bekal Fort. Bekal fort stands on a promontory between two long classically beautiful palm fringed beaches. Alappuzha beach - Kerala

Poovar beach - Kerala


Poovar Beach is on 45 minutes drive from Kovalam. Nayyar river separates the Poovar beach from the sea. Poovar beach can be reached by water taxis only. The beach is not used for beach activities and water sports due to the fishermen's population around. However, Poovar beach can be visited for its peace and tranquility eternally prevailing there.
